I created the "staircase" rubber stamp puzzles as the same time I came upon the idea for this monster. For both, I used Stamps 1 and 2 to give variety, but not detract away from the new idea. I started this puzzle before the staircase variety, but dropped it to work on the far easier Puzzle 7. Once that was finished, I then refocused my attention on this complicated puzzle, large enough to even contain holes. Puzzle 9 was larger than any other stamp puzzle that I had ever attempted, and the long five stamp rows and columns brought with them unexpectedly difficult puzzle creating challenges. Both this puzzle and Puzzle 7 were completed while at the CAA Program at Hood College, 1997 (first session).
