The grid sizes are measured in points, where 72 points = 1 inch. There are five available sizes, from 12 points (1/6 inch) to 27 points (3/8 inch), increasing in 3 point increments (1/24 inch). Basically, the smaller the number, the smaller the triangles that make up the grid.

12 point = 1/6 inch

15 point = 5/24 inch

18 point = 1/4 inch

21 point = 7/24 inch

27 point = 3/8 inch

"What!?! No 24 point!" you ask? Just use 12 point, using two triangle widths.
